The Kendall Building caught alight, presumed, as a result of arson, on the afternoon of Tuesday 24th April 2001. David Stacey was travelling back to Bodmin on the Dunmere Road and caught the drama with his camera as it unfolded. Some of the photos appeared in that weeks edition of the Cornish Guardian. Kendall Building was eventually demolished in 2005.
