Upload of linked staff pages in progress. In order to keep staff photos contained within the SLH community, the Flickr slide show option will not be available on staff pages.

Commenced uploading staff photos and pages. Slideshow application on these pages disabled at present.

Gradually working my way through the site and updating all pages with larger photos and slideshow option. All the building pages to be updated first to vacate server space for hundreds of staff photo links.

Each section can now be viewed as a slide show. Click on Flickr logo in upper right corner of related page to view slide show.

Foster buildings, corridor and ward photos now uploaded and linked. Staff section undergoing MAJOR upgrade and repair. NEW LAYOUT uploaded and photos will be linked soon. Many thanks and much appreciation to Eric Brookes, Lerryn Udy, Margaret Law for supplying numerous photographs from their collections. Most will appear in the staff section.

Last year, over 70% of this site disappeared overnight after the hosting server crashed and never returned. I soon discovered that my stored copy of the site was not compatible with upgraded software resulting in a time consuming rebuild of pages, images and links.
During this rebuild process, I have enlarged the pages to cater to larger monitor screens, accessed Youtube for movies and Flickr for the photographs. All the previous site content, (i.e. your photos and contributions) are intact and will be available in due course.
Thanks for your patience. I am now in the process of actively rebuilding.
Update April 2008
Pages of this website hosted at Freespaces.com were wiped out in mid-February wihout warning. It appears that Freespaces.com has ceased operating. As a result, a lot of this website is inaccessible at present. I am in the process of looking for a new webhost and rebuilding the pages missing from the site.
All the missing content will be up and running in due course. My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Update 07/01/08
It's been a while since I last updated the site, but here we are at the start of a new year with a few new additions. Many thanks and appreciation to Margaret Law, Liz Capp and Frank Jordan for submitting photos and documents. These have been spread across the site. The following sections are being updated: Foster Ward pages, Staff section, Other section and Videos page. Further updates will follow as and when new material available. A further set of photos of Foster Block have appeared on the net here.
Update 21/05/07
The site is in the process of being updated so as usual, some links not available, etc. Some new photos are being and will be uploaded across the site. A few PDF files available in the staff section of the old Beacon magazine. Video section undergoing a revamp and will use Youtube to host various movies of greater length. An interesting set of photos of Foster building have surfaced on the internet here and here.
Update 25/03/07
Further material will be uploaded to this site as and when received. The visitors section is experiencing access problems at the moment which I am looking into. The links page has been updated and broken links fixed. Some of you are having problems viewing the Quicktime videos on this site. I am looking into YouTube as a way of displaying lengthier videos and resolving this issue. Further update soon.

Much appreciation and thanks to Pete Salt for scanning and forwarding a collection of his photos. These appear on the Staff, Foster, Grounds and History pages. In amongst his images are interesting variations of some old St Lawrences badges. Some new sites containing images of other hospitals added to Links page. Happy New Year to you all.

Many thanks to Trevor Neal, Sandra Greenaway and Dave Palmer for material submitted recently. It will appear in the Staff and video sections. Thanks to all who have made contact in recent months with suggestions and encouragement. Much appreciated. Plenty of room remains on the website for YOUR photos, so if you haven't submitted yet, dig them out, send them here and I'll put them up for all to enjoy.
